2048 ("the Game") is developed by SigMap OÜ. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our game. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting it.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information to provide and improve the Game's functionality:

a. Automatically Collected Information:

  • Device Information: We may collect data about the type of device you use, operating system version, and device settings.
  • Play Integrity API Data: We use Google's Play Integrity API to verify the authenticity of your device and app installation. This API provides information about:
    • Whether the app is installed from the Google Play Store.
    • Whether the device meets Google's integrity standards (e.g., not rooted or tampered with).
    • Other security-related data to protect the app and its users.

b. Gameplay Data:

  • High scores, levels completed, or other in-game achievements may be saved locally on your device or via cloud services if you enable such features.

c. Crash Reports:

  • We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the app encounters errors or crashes. This includes:
    • Device information (model, operating system version)
    • App version and state at the time of crash
    • Stack traces and error logs
    • The steps in the app that led to the crash
    • Random installation identifiers (Crashlytics Installation UUID and Firebase installation ID)
    This data is pseudonymous: it is linked to the random installation identifiers above, not to your name, email, or account. It is used solely to identify and fix bugs, improve app stability, and enhance performance.

d. Optional Data:

  • If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address and other details you provide.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To ensure the security and integrity of the app using the Play Integrity API.
  • To provide and maintain the game's functionality and features.
  • To analyze usage and improve game performance.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, or violations of our terms.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Legal basis

  • Crash reports, integrity checks, and fraud prevention: our legitimate interest in keeping the Game stable and secure (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Gameplay features you use: providing the Game you chose to install (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Support requests: our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f)).

How long we keep it

  • Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash data and the related installation identifiers for 90 days, then deletes them.
  • Gameplay data stored on your device: until you delete it or uninstall the Game.
  • Support emails: up to 2 years after our last contact.

3. Third-Party Services

The Game may use the following third-party services:

  • Google Play Services: For app distribution and integrity verification.
  • Google Play Integrity API: To ensure the security and authenticity of the app.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: To collect and analyze crash reports and app performance data to help us identify and fix issues.

These services are provided by Google LLC, based in the United States, so data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Google participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. This includes:

  • Using encryption to transmit sensitive information.
  • Restricting access to collected data to authorized personnel only.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your information:

  • Access: You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: You can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: You can ask us to delete your data.
  • Restriction and Objection: You can ask us to limit or stop using your data, including where we rely on legitimate interests.
  • Portability: You can ask for the data you gave us in a portable format.
  • Opt-Out: You can uninstall the app to stop all data collection.

6. Children's Privacy

The Game is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable regulations. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. The updated policy will take effect as soon as it is posted.
