Privacy Notice

This notice explains what personal data SigMap OÜ collects when you visit sigmap.tech or contact us, why we collect it, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our apps have their own privacy policies, linked from each app.

1. Who Is Responsible

The data controller is:

2. What We Collect

a. Contact form and email

When you use the contact form or email us, we receive the details you give us: your name, email address, subject, and message. The contact form is processed by Formspree, Inc., which stores the submission and forwards it to us by email. To filter spam and keep its service secure, Formspree may also record technical data such as your IP address and browser type. Our mailbox, where form messages and emails to info@sigmap.tech arrive, is hosted by Google Workspace.

b. Hosting logs

The website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). GitHub logs the IP address of every visitor for security purposes. We do not have access to these logs.

c. What we do not collect

  • We use no cookies, analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.
  • Fonts are served from our own site, so no third-party font service sees your visit.
  • After you send the form, your browser stores the time of sending (local storage key lastFormSubmit) so it can stop repeat submissions for 60 seconds. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

3. Why We Use It and on What Legal Basis

  • Replying to your enquiry and, if you ask, preparing an offer: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), or our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Keeping the site and form secure and free of spam: our legitimate interest and that of our providers (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell your data or use it for marketing.

4. How Long We Keep It

We keep enquiries and the related correspondence for up to 2 years after our last contact, then delete them, both in Formspree and in our mailbox. If your enquiry leads to a contract, the records of that contract are kept for as long as Estonian accounting and tax law requires.

5. Who Else Receives It

All three providers are based in, or process data in, the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. These transfers rely on the safeguards allowed by Chapter V of the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, as set out in each provider's terms.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict or object to our use of your data;
  • receive the data you gave us in a portable format.

To use any of these rights, email info@sigmap.tech. We will reply within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) at www.aki.ee, or with the data protection authority in your own EU country.

7. Changes to This Notice

We may update this notice when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
